Good Overview of the book
General Pacepa's insight into the diabolical twisting of information for public consumption is one of the best books on the subject I have ever read. This documentary faithfully presents an overview of the more detailed information in the book. The book is extensively notated (48 pages of references and a very large bibliography that supports all the facts revealed in the main text.)

Unless you read this book, you have no idea what is going on in the world.
I have long believed that the media lies by what it does NOT tell you. (They truly believe that if it is not in the NY Times it didn't happen.) However, now I understand the other side of the coin, the "dezinformatsiya". This book and DVD (I have both) really helps you understand the agenda of 90% of the media. It is amazing how this 90% marches in lockstep, and many have wondered why they were so good at this. After reading the book or watching the DVD, you will know why. You can't possibly understand history and know what is going on in the world unless you understand what is in this book or DVD. One Rabbi from the former Soviet Union points out that Americans really do not get it. From the Czars, to the Soviet Union and Russia, from the KGB to the FSB, from the PLO to the Muslim Brotherhood, from ACORN, to Move-on.org to the Obama administration, these groups have had a common enemy. It is eerie how the tactics, beliefs and disinformation of these groups have all been so similar...

Disinformation
This 2 DVD documentary is ok, I suppose. If one is determined to sit through about 3 hours of saying the same thing over and over again. I have been diligent in recent years in reading all sorts of news sites. I do enjoy WND as they are usually "right winged" if you want to slot them in somewhere. I don't like the ultra left nor the ultra right. I just like the truth without it being tainted by too much leaning one way or the other. This film seems to be leaning way too much Right. It gets worse as it goes on and on. Disinformation is a tale about how people around the world since reporting news began, it seems, have been fed propaganda (disinformation) from day one. Much of the information in the first DVD happened before I was born (I'm 69), and was interesting enough, but went entirely too fast to keep up with the history of it all and impossible for me to cross reference anything.
