Being in the World
A Wonderful Film
This film has a wonderful message, an accessibility that avails itself to the non-philosopher, and is a very nice practical introduction to Heidegger's thought and why it should matter to us. Even being reasonably versed in Heidegger's thought, I found this film to put it into perspective. The film starts slowly, which may frustrate the philosophically minded, but the average viewer will find the presentation gemutlich. For the philosophers, I recommend sticking with the film, as it progressively develops its depth and formulates its message, as the film moves forward. The film features perspectives on meaning, community, Care (Sorge), manners in which we interact with objects, and standard Heideggerian fare.
A film for all ages, and I would even go so far as to say that this is a family film, in a way: this is the sort of film that I would watch with my adolescent and teen siblings, and that one might want to watch with their children, being that it deals with meaning...

Cuts to the quick
For those who have struggled with the likes of Heidegger in the past and have spent some time struggling with what he was pointing to, this documentary lays it all out without engaging in more "armchair" philosophy. Examples of authentic being-in-the-world are all around us leaving the viewer to enter their own world not to find further examples that demonstrate that they know what it is but by engaging the world in a way that leaves the model far behind because they are too busy being the best that they can be.
It is the most concise and clearly laid out example of phenomenology that anyone could ask for.
